We spend at least 4 months of the year in Cancun and visit numerous other times of the year so we often are found there when clients rent.
Deep sea fishing is something you should absolutely try out if you’re in Cancun and want to enjoy fishing in a brand new way. In order to do this, you just have to schedule a boat charter with a deep sea fishing company, which you can book right from the phone in the condo. Once you have this scheduled, you’ll go out on the water to fish in the waters with your loved ones. This is something that is definitely great for groups of friends who love to fish, but anyone who has a passion for trying something new might like it as well. The prices vary based on the company that you book with, and sometimes you might have to book several days in advance. Get ready to see snapper, tuna, wahoo, blue marlin, white marlin and even sharks while you’re fishing! In fact, most fishers see fish up close that they haven’t ever seen on expeditions they’ve been on before.
Dolphin Discovery is one of the most popular tourist spots for individuals who visit Cancun, as it’s easy to find and has a ton of fun family activities. As the name states, you can see dolphins like never before when you go to this attraction. Swimming with dolphins, doing tricks with dolphins and even just petting them are all things that you can easily do. You can even have your picture taken so that you have memories that you won’t soon forget. In addition to fun with these beautiful animals, you can also enjoy dining at the different restaurants, or sipping on cocktails at the different lounges that are all around. There are not many other places in this area where you can meet a dolphin up close, so this is a one-of-a-kind experience that you should try out. The prices are affordable, and kids can enjoy hanging out here just as much as adults can. Dolphin Discover has a completely entertaining dolphin show several times a day. If you look close you can see a few dolphins swimming by!
Day Trips: There are so many places to go and fun things to do all close to Cancun. One of our favorites is a day trip to Isla Majeres just off the coast of Cancun. We load up our boat and head out but there are also several different Ferry Boats that can take you there for the day leaving from three public dock areas. All dock areas can be reached by public bus right outside the door. Isla is like a little Mediterranean fishing town 100 years ago. Once you arrive on isla you can walk off the pier to the main street where you will find people waiting to sell you snorkeling trips, fishing trips, souvenirs etc. along with a large number of golf cart rental stores. You can usually bargain a cart for $45.00 US for half a day. With this cart you can tour the entire island taking your time and stopping as you see what interests you. There are numerous restaurants to stop for lunch or dinner. There are also 5 star restaurants in some of the most beautiful hotels you have ever seen. We always make a stop at the north end of the island where the beaches are to die for and the water is usually as calm as glass. We will back our boat in and drop anchor in the sand beach and get out the party. Before long you will look around and find yourself surrounded by million dollar yachts! Everyone have a great time. This is definitely a show stopper and a time you will never forget. The water is shallow forever and the palm trees, hammocks, restaurants and beachside bars are all so much fun.
One thing there is no shortage of in Cancun is Nightclubs. There is the most incredible entertainment, music, talent and if you are lucky there are even live concerts like Louis Miguel, Ricky Martin, Chicago, Michael Bolton and many more. The club scene stars about 9 PM and goes until the sun comes up. There is total law and order anywhere you go in Cancun as the Mexican Government believes the tourists are their very life flow and everyone acts accordingly. In the 35 years we have been in Cancun we have never as much as had an argument with anyone.
If you want to get off land in Cancun and enjoy dinner right on the water, then dinner cruises are the perfect options! These offer unique views of the beaches, and have delicious food that you can enjoy all night long (including yummy drinks). The Columbus Lobster Dinner Cruise is an example of one of the most popular dinner cruises in the area, which features chef-prepared food while you cruise through the Nichupte Lagoon. This is great for couples, and has a number of 5-star reviews from past guests. If you’re looking for something more entertaining, then the Jolly Roger Pirate Show Premium is a nice option. You can enjoy this with children, and enjoy endless entertainment from pirates along with an open bar and buffet. Of course there are several different cruises that you can choose from, so you can choose which fits your schedule and the group that you’re with specifically.
Cancun by night, an equally dynamic nightlife just loaded with life where you discover local cuisine in the authentic El Centro area in downtown Cancun. Cancun has a population of over one million people so you can only imagine how much there is to discover in El Centro. No matter what your pleasure you will never run out of things to do or places to go even if you have been to Cancun numerous times. The Hotel Zone is just catacombed with 5 star restaurants. The finest of foods, wines, fire and water! All is within minutes on the bus or in a cab or right across the street on the lagoon side of Cancun. Several of the fine restaurants also offer floor shows right in the restaurant for your entertainment while you dine. Entertainment for all ages young and old. You can cheap out with $1.00 fresh fish tacos or go for a $50.00 steak or fish dinner.
If you’re into adrenaline rushes and are interested in trying something new while on vacation in Cancun, then flyboarding is a great option. This is a fairly new activity, but it has a lot to offer people who love exciting new adventures. This is basically a board that has a water propulsion pack on the bottom of it. You get strapped in, and then the hose lifts you up into the air using water pressure underneath your feet. You have the power to control the water using hand jets, but also by shifting your weight while you are standing on the board. There are several places that offer this activity throughout Cancun, but you do have to be 18 years or older to actually take part in it. It’s definitely a memorable activity that you can’t do everywhere, so you should try it if you love experiencing brand new things! Just make sure someone takes a video or pictures so you can re-live it when you get back home.
There are a lot of different activities you can enjoy in Cancun, but windsurfing is one that many people don’t take advantage of. This is something that is definitely worth going to from December to April, as those months offer the best weather. There are a lot of beaches that you can visit for this activity, but Xpu-Ha Bay is one of the most popular. Once you choose a location and have the rental equipment ready to go, the fun can being (keep in mind these are lessons you can take if you haven’t done this before). While you’re windsurfing you’ll feel the breeze of the air and the mist of the water right underneath you. The wind will help you surf along, and you’ll be able to experience a brand new activity that is a ton of fun for people of all ages. This combination of sailing and surfing is something you’re bound to love if you’re a big water sport fan.
Dinner and a Movie Done Right at Cinepolis
Movie Goers: you can enjoy the latest American in English releases from your own Lazyboy chair. Cinepolis is a VIP theatre featuring Lazyboy chairs and chair side service. A waiter will come to you and you can order soda, liquor drinks beer and all types of great food not just junk food and all is delivered to your seating and comfort. Your chair includes a little night light and a rotating table for your convenience.

Waverunner rentals have been a beloved activity for tourists to enjoy while in Cancun for many years. You can find shops all over that offer this service, and it can be a new experience for you and everyone that you’re with. They are basically jet skis that have two seats, and that can be driven at various speeds all throughout the waters. Waverunners go fast, are easy to drive and give you a chance to fly across the beautiful waters of Cancun on your own. It’s a great alternative to boating, and something you can enjoy all day long if you want to escape from your typical relaxing on the beach. If you’re with kids they can even partake in this activity and sit as passengers on the waverunner (age restrictions vary by company). You can have a day of fun cruising on these, especially if you’re with a group of friends or family members that you want to do something unique with.
What a view from heaven
If you’re looking for an adventure in Cancun that will get your adrenaline running, then parasailing is a great choice! There are a lot of companies alongside the beach that offer this adventure service, but you can also ask operators right on the beach in front of the condo. After you choose a company to go with, you’ll be taken on a shuttle boat to a safe area where you can get into your parasailing seat. Next, a boat will start driving along the waters while you slowly rise up in the air! Once you’re high in the air you will see Cancun like never before, as you’ll have views that only birds normally get. What’s even better is that when you are going back down, you can request to go into the water to have a refreshing splash before you’re finished. You can go alone or with someone else, and enjoy every moment of seeing Cancun’s true beauty.
If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with someone else while in Cancun, then paddle boating is it! You can find paddle boat rentals right across the street from the condo on the lagoon side, or at many shops that are alongside the beach. There are even some resorts the offer paddle boating tours, which allow you to see parts of the water (like caves), that you wouldn’t otherwise know existed! Once you get in your boat, all you have to do is start cycling your feet and going in the direction that you’d like. This is a fantastic activity to do during the day so you can see some of the most beautiful sights in Cancun from water, but it’s also great during the night. If you’re with a group of people or just have a large family, then you could even have races with each other in multiple boats. In the end you’ll get great exercise, and will have had a wonderful day doing something unique.
Cancun is one of the best places in the world to snorkel, some of the best snorkeling places in all of Cancun are just a 10 minute walk down the beach! If you are brand new to snorkeling, then it’s definitely worth it to take a local lesson on what to do while you’re in the water. You’ll learn a lot about how to stay safe, and will also learn tips on what to look out for. You can generally find snorkeling lessons from companies close by the beach. If you are an experienced snorkeler, then you have a lot of places where you can go enjoy this hobby. Some of the best places include: Nichupte Lagoon, Puerto Moreles coral reefs and Cozumel’s Chankanaab National Park.
